Free Flying

I unfortunately had to make a sympathy card recently for my friend who's father passed away. I wanted to make it special and sincere, by showing her I was there for her even though she lived back in the Bay Area. This is what I came up with. I played around with a design I found online and tried my own version of it. I think it was pretty close. I played with layering and embellishments as well on here. Since I did not have the feature on my cricut I had to overlap the letters to make it look connected.

A WHoot of a Birthday

I made a personal Happy Birthday card to my friend Alice from work to go alongside a little gift I gave her. The reason behind the yellow and green was to match the packaging her gift was in and I threw in a little brown and pink for added color. The cutout was from the Cindy Loo cricut catridge and I embossed with the Cuttlebug Paisley embossing folder and border punched the different accent below the ribbon on the card. I also layered to give the added effect to the owl.

Green Bloom

I made this card in honor of our friend at work Alice's 60th Birthday. I decided to choose light colors and chose to do a really big flower on the front. I also embossed a layer and border punched. I played around with different techniques and styles I have seen on other cards. I also played around with the layering for the flower to give it contrast.
