Sharing some 'love'

'Love'

This card was made by my hubby for Valentine's Day. It was our first Valentine's Day as a married couple so he made it extra special. He actually used all of my Cricut tools and embellishments to make the card and I was highly impressed. Enjoy a glimpse into my very Happy Valentine's Day.

J4 is more......one 'more' year older that is!!

J4 a Year More

This card was made for my cousin Jan for her birthday coming up. She's pretty simple and doesn't like too many girly things so I tried to keep the card kinda neutral. She loves cupcakes and sweet stuff so I had a chance to put a cupcake on the front. I made it signify a red velvet cupcake. This card was fun and it is the style of a 'pop up card'. The inside has 'Happy Birthday' in the pop up.

I also embellish the cupcake by using red jeweled embellishments. Also I used my cuttlebug to emboss the cupcake bottom and the strip you see on the page.

The 'Happy Birthday' came out kind of crooked but it still turnout out good.

Boss's Bday

Boss's Bday

This card was made for the occasion of my supervisor's bday. She doesn't like red so I had to work around colors that didn't include red. I was able to capture colors that she liked and colors that matched the gift bag with her gift. She loved it and this too was a 'waterfall' card. This time you would pull the tab downward and it would go vertical. The card I actually used for the card base was a very pretty card.

Here is the back of the card and as you can see it's a pretty card base that I used.

Bundle of Joy

Bundle of Joy

This card was made for my cousin Jacky's baby shower. She will be having a little baby girl this June and this card is for her baby shower this weekend. This was the first time I made a 'waterfall' card. The meaning sounds a little funny but it's used for the meaning of the motion that is made with the design when the tab is pulled. It creates a 'waterfall' effect. This too was the first time I made this type of card and once again is pretty simple. I LOVED how it came out and the colors that I used were very cute too.

I loved the card that I chose to use with the dots on the card. Once again I personalized with a matching pink label. This is the Bundle of Joy card for a baby shower.

Grandmother's Love

Grandmother's Love

This card is the same butterfly lever card that was made for my mom for mother's day but my sister and I decided to make one for my grandma as well for mother's day. She assembled this card all on her own so I'll give her credit for this one.

I ended this card again with a personalized label with a great quote.

Mother's Wings

Mother's Wings

This card was made for mom for Mother's Day. This was the first time I made a 'lever' card and it was easier than I thought. The 'lever' card seems to be one of my favorite cards to make thus far. I hope you enjoy this creation.

The three hearts that are on the top signify myself, hubby bubby and seester.

This is the card when it is open. I like the fact that the butterfly can be opened.

This is the front view of the card once it is opened. You can see how the butterfly will still be exposed once the card is opened.

I have been personalizing my cards lately with these handy stickers made from Peartree Greetings that allow a personalized sticker with a design. I like to put quotes in different places so I've put inspiring and creative quotes on my stickers with my name. This creation has been named Mother's Wings in honor of my mom for Mother's Day.

Birdy House Warming

Birdy House Warming

This card was created for a house warming card. My inspiration for the Birdy House Warming card was to use a 'bird house' as a metaphor for an actual house. The little birdy was cute and happy and this was a happy occasion.

Free Flying

I unfortunately had to make a sympathy card recently for my friend who's father passed away. I wanted to make it special and sincere, by showing her I was there for her even though she lived back in the Bay Area. This is what I came up with. I played around with a design I found online and tried my own version of it. I think it was pretty close. I played with layering and embellishments as well on here. Since I did not have the feature on my cricut I had to overlap the letters to make it look connected.

A WHoot of a Birthday

I made a personal Happy Birthday card to my friend Alice from work to go alongside a little gift I gave her. The reason behind the yellow and green was to match the packaging her gift was in and I threw in a little brown and pink for added color. The cutout was from the Cindy Loo cricut catridge and I embossed with the Cuttlebug Paisley embossing folder and border punched the different accent below the ribbon on the card. I also layered to give the added effect to the owl.

Green Bloom

I made this card in honor of our friend at work Alice's 60th Birthday. I decided to choose light colors and chose to do a really big flower on the front. I also embossed a layer and border punched. I played around with different techniques and styles I have seen on other cards. I also played around with the layering for the flower to give it contrast.
